Education in the Chemical Engineering ITB Undergraduate Program aims to prepare graduates to become valuable contributors to their chosen career fields. For this reason, the Chemical Engineering ITB education program is designed so that graduates can achieve the following goals within 5 years of completing their studies:

  1. Developing in their profession by practicing the principles and methods of Chemical Engineering in the career paths of engineering, managerial, and other pathways.
  2. Become effective team members in work organizations by applying and developing their communication and leadership skills.
  3. Have attained or are pursuing postgraduate studies in the fields of engineering, science, business, and other relevant fields of study, professional certification, and / or actively involved in various professionalism development activities in their work.

The curriculum of Chemical Engineering Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung is always updated every 5 years. The 2019 curriculum currently in force is structured according to ITB’s direction in responding to Industry Challenge 4.0. The Chemical Engineering Bachelor Program applies the Learner Centered Education (LCE) paradigm and develops a curriculum based on 4 strategic issues (Big Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Coding / Computational Thinking, and Sustainability).

The Chemical Engineering Bachelor education program is divided into 2 stages, namely the Joint First Level Stage (TPB) for 2 semesters with a load of 36 credits, and the Bachelor Stage consists of 6 semesters with a load of 108 credits. Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Program has 2 pathways to choose from: Chemical Technology (TK) and Bio-process Technology (TB). The two elective pathways have different subject arrangements starting in the 4th semester. The structure of the courses in the curriculum arranged according to the format of ITB is as follows:
